2014 Season Ends on High Note

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Macon, IL) The 2014 season has come to and end for Osman Racing, doing so on a very high note. We were able to capture two more top five finishes and take a lot of momentum into the off season.

On Friday, October 10 we ventured back to Lincoln Speedway, where we captured the 2013 Street Stock Track Championship. We started seventh in a very competitive heat race and managed to work her way up to a third-place finish. We would start this feature in the third-place and quickly worked our way into second where we would eventually finish behind race winner, Terry Reed. It was a good way to end the season at Lincoln Speedway, a place where we had struggled earlier in the year.

Saturday, October 11 took us to Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois to round out our 2014 season. We had our work cut out for us as we would start in the back of our heat race in sixth place but we quickly made our way to the front and finished in a solid second-place position. We started the feature in fourth place and were running in the top five the entire race until a miss out the turn three for this back if a place for the final restart of the race. We quickly made our way through traffic and got back up to fourth place before the race ended under caution due to a time limit. Another solid run as we were able to pass some very good cars to get back up to the fourth place position.

This concluded our season. While we weren't able to make as many races as we did in 2013, we were able to match our feature win total at three. We really started to pick up steam after our first seven events of the season were over. In those first seven events we had three Did Not Starts, one Did Not Finish and one Did Not Qualify. We also had issues with the starter, a water leak, and the transmission but we did manage to get a win on Opening Night at Macon Speedway. The last sixteen events of the season saw us with an average feature start of 8.13 and an average feature finish of 5.31. We had two more feature wins and only one Did Not Finish.

The offseason is looking very busy as the car will be stripped completely down and gone over before a new body gets put back in. McQuinn Motorsports will be freshening up the engine and making some minor upgrades and we will be back on the track in no time!

Our next scheduled event will be the Midwest Speed Expo in January at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Our car will be on display in the Dominator Chassis booth.
